Vanishing Point recreates the world cartography that news media coverage –or lack thereof— creates. It consists of a world map connected to a database fed by the news coming from the websites of 10 international newspapers. Each country’s visibility is a result of how much coverage is out there; so those countries that are not mentioned will progressively vanish.
