To The Dead

TO THE DEAD follows a solitary figure walking through Bogotá’s Central Cemetery, his first-person narration meandering between tombstones and through decades of national trauma. His voice is contradictory, restless — illuminating how the intimate and traumatic are systematically excluded from official national history.

Set against a sprawling necropolis that houses Colombia’s collective memory, the film uses the cemetery’s geography — its grand mausoleums and forgotten graves — as a landscape for exploring how a nation remembers, misinterprets, and forgets its own past.
